You are right to be concerned about the need to make sure all appropriate searches are carried out on your behalf. We need to check your new home will be ‘just above the flood plain’, as the agents’ particulars suggested. We remember when there was an old chemical factory not far from there and clearly we need to investigate if there is any contaminated land.
