Hugh McPherson

Solicitor – 1980
BA Business Law – Lanchester Polytechnic, Coventry

I have over 30 years’ experience as a residential property lawyer and during that time I have dealt with all manner of property transactions (sales, purchases, mortgages, leases, lease extensions, residential lettings).  Moving house is said to be one of life’s most stressful experiences and I always aim to make the process as smooth and transparent as possible for my clients. House purchase is also the largest single investment most people will make so I like to ensure that all appropriate searches and investigations are made and the information communicated to my clients in a clear and meaningful way so they know what they will own, what rights they will have and what obligations and restrictions they will be under.

Outside of work, I like to spend time with my family.  I am a keen runner.  Last year I ran the Beachy Head Marathon and this year I am running the Robin Hood Marathon in Nottingham.  I also enjoy walking in the countryside.
