You can download factsheets on a variety of topics including the funding of temporary and permanent residential care. If you still find it all a bit baffling, you are welcome to arrange a Free Initial Interview and come and talk it through with us.
This is a complex area and many people who are having to deal with it are also having to deal with the declining health either of themselves or of a loved one. We will offer you what support we can; sometimes people need help in writing a letter or completing a form.
Social Workers are often the key people in helping you find a way through the maze and they will have a fund of valuable local knowledge. If you have not yet made contact with Social Services, a phone call to Social Services may help point you in the right direction. If you have had contact with Social Services but do not feel you have made much progress, try again!
When you are ready to make some definite moves, get in touch with us again. There will be a legal aspect to much of what you may now need to do, including property transactions and the making of Lasting Powers of Attorney.
